Sara Iszard (she/her/hers)
Director of Community Standards and Counseling
Sara has over 20 years of experience in higher education and student affairs. During her career, she has worked on many student-centered initiatives in the areas of Residence Life, Student Health & Wellness, Counseling, Crisis Response, Academic Integrity, Community Standards, and Title IX.
In her role as Director, Sara has been working with campus and community partners to expand the services and resources available to FLCC students through the Community Standards and Counseling Office.
Sara holds a B.A. in Management from Hartwick College and an M.S. in College Student Development and Counseling from Northeastern University.
Teresa Daddis (she/her/hers)
Student Services Counselor
For over 20 years, Teresa has provided personal, crisis, and academic counseling to a diverse population of students including full-time, part-time, traditional aged, adult, ethnically diverse and students with disabilities at Finger Lakes Community College. Additionally, Teresa has worked in community mental health as a mental health counselor intern at St. Joseph's Neighborhood Center providing biopsychosocial intake evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and mental health and crisis counseling to clients of all ages.
Teresa provides short term, solution focused counseling with a theoretical perspective that looks at the whole person. She is a member of the American College Counseling Association (ACCA) and has a certificate in Mental Health First Aid USA training.
Teresa earned her Master in Education (M.S. Ed.) in Counseling degree with an emphasis in College Counseling from The College at Brockport and earned a certificate in Advanced Study (C.A.S.) in Mental Health Counseling from The College at Brockport.
Laila Leon-Paliotti, LMSW Clinical Therapist (she/her/hers)
Registration Advisor
As a licensed master's social worker, Laila has worked full and part-time as an Administrator and Student Services Counselor-Student Intervention at Finger Lakes Community College and as a part-time Clinical Therapist for over twenty years at Family Counseling Services of the Finger Lakes, Inc. She is skilled in the areas of Family Mental Health, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Play Therapy and General Counseling.
Laila has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Conflict Resolution and Family & Divorce Mediation. Her theoretical perspective is based on looking at the person and environment and how the influences of the two can impact the biological, psychological, and social life situations for change.
Laila has experience in working with couples, children and individual counseling. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and she has certificates for the following areas: Mental Health First Aid USA/Certificate, Family and Divorce Mediation Certificate, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Certification and Trauma Informed Therapy. Laila is bilingual in Spanish and has experience in working with diverse community groups.
Laila earned her BA from William Smith College and her MSW from Syracuse University.
